UK Grime producer and Mc Wiley reveals he will retire in 2014, 2015 or after The Ascent Album that will be released in March. The grime pioneer and now "Grime Grand Father" In a recent Wiley interview with MTV, say's “I don’t want to be 34 and still making music myself, I’d rather go out whilst I’m at the top of my game" he wants to leave the Mic for the young emerging talent coming through the ranks and Instead focus on A List record Label. But one thing is for sure is Rappers seem to drift into a semi-retirement where they might run a record label and feature on the odd track that their artists create as posted by Lordie Lord @ The Grime Report. But this is not the first time Wiley has announced retirement back in 2007 in the Guardian Wiley says he wants to retire and wants to be normal I'm 28 and I'm tired. So Grime with no Wiley is like Tea with no biscuits, is it time for Wiley to go? and is 34 to old? after all Wiley has been making music for fifteen years now and has come along way from dodgy pirate radio stations DTI, But wiley talks to Akilah Russel at MTV and says My fans don't need to worry because ‘The Ascent Album’ is solid and that should tide them over for a little piece [laughs].
